Ambitious CFO to drive growth and international expansion in the biotech industry 

Biomega is seeking a strategically minded CFO to join the senior executive team of a growing company. The right candidate will take a leadership role in financial decision making, and will report to CEO and Board of directors. The position will focus on managing and developing the accounting team, implement best practices (incl. new ERP/CRM systems), analyze and report financials across the firm and evaluate new organic and inorganic growth opportunities.

 

Headline responsibilities:

  • Execute day to day financial operations and provide timely and accurate numbers and financial reporting (budget, trends analysis and forecasts)
  • Act as a steward of the Company on behalf of the shareholders and act & think as an owner
  • Lead and develop ERP/CRM systems to enhance operational performance and financial results
  • Produce and effectively communicate information relevant for decision making
  • Establish and execute the financial strategy of the company, including continuous evaluation of short and long-term strategic financial objectives across the value chain and business units
  • Support business improvement initiatives with necessary performance analytics and financial analysis in cooperation with different company teams
  • Work in conjunction with the CEO to initiate and execute organic and inorganic growth opportunities
  • Ensure compliance with all laws and regulations in accordance with certificates, applicable law (incl. outside society) and rules for financial and tax reporting
  • Identify, monitor and pro-actively manage risk

Professional Experience:

  • 7+ years of relevant work experience required
  • 3+ years in responsible financial leadership role(s), preferably in the food sector or other production related industries, including Seafood and Oil/Gas industries
  • Experience from implementing ERPs / GLs is a plus
  • Experience from implementing zero-based budgeting is a plus

Education:

  • BSc in Finance, Business, Engineering or Accounting is required
  • MBA or Master’s Degree in Finance is preferred
