Currently we are looking for a structured, flexible and highly motivated Process Engineer for the Dvalin facilities execution project.

Process Engineer – Dvalin Development Project

The Dvalin Project will be executed as a subsea tie-back to the Heidrun platform. The Heidrun modification works will be executed by Statoil as operator of the Heidrun field. The Subsea Production System will be provided by Aker Solutions, and the fabrication of pipelines and the offshore installation activities shall be performed by TechnipFMC. First gas is planned to be delivered in Q4 2020.

The Process Engineer will report to the Dvalin Topside Manager as part of the project facilities organization, and will be responsible for following-up process and flow assurance activities as well as assistance with developing commissioning and operating procedures.

Tasks and Scope of Work

  • Responsible for following up process related activities and clarifications during execution
  • Ensure implementation of process requirements in subsea and topside system design, equipment specifications and layout solutions
  • Maintain the existing process simulations (HYSYS) models and conduct new simulations as required.
  • Follow-up flow assurance studies conducted by 3rd party contractor
  • Follow-up Contractors and Statoil Heidrun in aspects related to process design
  • Participate in internal and Contractor/Supplier design reviews, HAZOPs and HAZIDs
  • Develop commissioning, operating and maintenance procedures for the project
  • Develop hydrate and wax management strategies for operations
  • Due to a relatively small size of the organization, the holder of the position will have to be able to take initiative and work collaboratively within a small experienced team

Educational Background and Experience

  • University degree in process or chemical engineering
  • At least 5 – 10 years relevant experience from the oil and gas industry
  • Experience with subsea tie-backs, flow assurance, subsea production systems and topside development projects
  • Experience with use of process simulation analysis tools (HYSYS)
  • Knowledge of Norwegian regulatory requirements

  • Curious and enthusiastic with excellent teamwork capabilities
  • Flexible, honest and trustworthy
  • Fluency in Norwegian is required as well as excellent level in English, both oral and written

Flexibility is required due to travelling needs.

Responsibility may change slightly through the project execution lifecycle due to the different project phases, workload, focus area and priorities.
