Product Manager

We are looking for Product Managers to the Healthcare Responders Team and the Community Responders Team.  Laerdal products ranges from innovative patient simulators like SimMan 3G to “smart” and easy-to-use CPR Training Manikins like Little Anne (“Annie are you OK, are you OK Annie?” did you know Michal Jackson actually learnt that phrase in a CPR course?). In the Product Team, Engineers, Designers and Product Managers sit side by side, working through iterations, from ideation and conception to launch and implementation with key partners.

The Job

As a Product Manager, you aim to bridge the design- technical- and business worlds as you manage products and services that our users’ value and use. You work closely with colleagues from Sales, Marketing, Finance and Manufacturing, and you play a critical role in shaping the next generation of Laerdal Resuscitation Solutions. We believe in Design Thinking, Lean Start-up philosophies and collaboration. Speed, availability, accessibility and ease of use have never been more important to us. As a Product Manager, you will contribute to the mission of Helping Save Lives by guiding colleagues and Projects, making well-grounded decisions. The Product Manager is the CEO of their product line. Some of the key responsibilities for the position will be:

  • Take the lead on developing business- and product solutions that are based on existing and new platforms in collaboration with development- and implementation partners around the world
  • Prioritize features and functionality during development of apps, web services, dashboards and other digital products. Prioritize the backlog for released products
  • Identify market opportunities, build business cases, and define product vision and strategy for the Product Team in the Business Unit
  • Define, lead, and execute a cohesive global strategy related to a specific product or set of products, collaborating as needed across regions, product areas, and functions

You

You are action driven and able to break down complex problems into steps that drive product development at high speed. You are motivated by the ability to achieve strategic goals in an innovative and fast-paced environment, and to evolve product strategy based on research, data and industry trends. You like to travel, and you have experience from global companies with product management, marketing, product development and launches. You are not afraid of shooting for the moon. Minimal qualifications:

  • MSc/MA/MBA in Business, Economics, Technology, Product Management (Engineering), Design,  Psychology, Media, Anthropology, Health or other relevant disciplines.
  • 3 years of experience in a Product Management or Technology Strategy role, preferably with apps, product platforms or other digital solutions
  • Experience working within App Development and Product Development

We have 24 sales offices and 1500 employees around the world, but this position is located at the head office in Stavanger, Norway.
