We are seeking an experienced leader to develop and lead our new HR Shared Services in Schibsted’s Media Division, serving customers within Schibsted Media and Growth companies in Norway.

The Media division’s core mission is to deliver quality journalism supported by continued digitalization and increased revenue share from digital products. At the same time, further streamlining of the operations and improved efficiency.
The HR function in Schibsted Media is dedicated to developing the potential of our greatest asset – our employees – while continually developing our organization and our culture to help us deliver on our strategic goals.

The goal of the new HR Shared Service in Schibsted Media is to provide great employee experience based on cost effective, automated and standardised processes. The aim is to utilize new technology to provide the best solutions and support for employees and managers; including extensive use of self service as an efficient method of service delivery.
In Sweden a significant amount of standardization is carried out within HR transactional services while the Norwegian companies still have high potentials for standardisation and streamlining of processes.

The role as HR Shared Services Leader will build best practices related to HR transactional services focusing on Norway while ensuring we have a clear divisional strategy including both Norway and Sweden where our medium term ambition is to coordinate more HR services between Norway and Sweden.

Responsibilities

  • Lead establishment and building of HR Shared Services serving Schibsted companies for Norway
  • In short term, focus is on establishing best practises in Norway standardising transactional HR processes
  • Deliver a short and long term roadmap for establishing Shared Service for Norway across 41 customers
  • In long term, drive best practice shared services potentially across Norway and Sweden
  • Work with line management to help define operating models, including roles, responsibilities, capacity, competencies and model for cost allocation
  • Recruit, onboard and build team for the shared services function
  • Establish a sustainable service management framework for strong cooperation between Shared Services and its customers
  • Implement relevant objectives and KPIs for shared service deliveries based on best practices
  • Work with IT and other departments to develop a relevant HR technology roadmap to achieve process automation in line with Schibsted IT strategy
  • Continuous improvement of HR transactional processes – establish HR routines, procedures and policies
  • Ensure high reputation and confidence in HR and Shared Services in Schibsted
  • Develop and foster strategic and tactical internal relationships with all relevant functions across Schibsted
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory changes e.g GDPR skills

Required experience / expertise

  • Track record from developing and establishing best practises within Shared Services
  • Proven track record of motivational and operational leadership
  • Solid experience and proven results from leading major change programs and projects in large and complex matrix organisations
  • Deep knowledge of HR as a competitive driver for business growth and efficiency
  • Proven track record of working strategically and operationally at the same time
  • Strong relationship skills and experience in building and managing stakeholders across matrix organisations
  • Experience with process ownership as mean to optimizing customer value
  • Ability to attract and retain the right talent to deliver high performance
  • Knowledge of HR technology and how it can deliver end-to-end results for business processes

You will be part of the HR management team in Norway and report to Media HR Director Norway Hilde Sundt-Hansen.
